West Indies defeated Team India by 8 wickets in the fifth and deciding match to win the series 3-2. Romario Shepherd, who took 4 wickets, was adjudged the player of the match and Nicholas Pooran was adjudged the best player of the series. After the defeat, Hardik Pandya said that sometimes it is good to lose. He also said that we are also seeing the positive side of it.

IND vs WI T20 Series: All batsmen flop except Suryakumar

Captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bat first. Yashasvi Jaiswal (5), and Shubman Gill (9) got out cheaply, not a good start but Suryakumar took over after that. Surya (61) and Tilak Verma (27) shared a 49-run partnership for the third wicket. Sanju Samson (13), Hardik Pandya (14) could not play big innings in the middle order. Romario Shepherd took the maximum 4 wickets for the West Indies.
