Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals will aim for their maiden IPL trophy when they kick off the proceedings against Chennai Super Kings on April 10.

DC’s performances have improved under head coach Ricky Ponting, who joined the franchise in 2018. Under him, DC has qualified forth the playoff twice and has their maiden final. Ponting, who coached MI to title victory twice, will hope to win his maiden title with the Delhi-based franchise in the coming addition.
One of the five franchises which have been plying their trade in the IPL since the inception, Delhi Capitals is yet to win an IPL 2021. They have one of the most underperforming in IPL 2020. It was the first time that the Delhi-based franchise played the final. DC lost to Mumbai Indians in the final.
Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury. He has been replaced by Rishabh Pant, who had first joined the franchise in 2016. Rishabh has experience of leading India A and Delhi state team.
