IPL 2021- Jason Roy joins SRH in place of Mitchell Marsh

England opener Jason Roy has been included in the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad in place of Mitchell Marsh

The Indian Premier League starting on 9 April as the Australian all-rounder will not be available for the entire season due to personal reasons

Marsh was also injured in the first match of the IPL 2020 stage and could not play after that.

According to the SunRisers Hyderabad official, “Sunrisers Hyderabad have included Jason Roy of England in place of Mitchell Marsh who has revealed himself not available for the entire season due to personal reasons.”

Mitchell Marsh made his IPL debut in 2010, he has played a total of 21 matches in this league. At the same time, Jason Roy made his IPL debut playing for Gujarat Lions in 2017, and later he played for Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) in 2018. Roy has scored 179 runs including a half-century, playing a total of eight matches.

The Hyderabad team has included Roy in his base price of two crore rupees. Roy’s performance was fine in recent ODIs and the T20I series against India but he could not convert a good start into a big score.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad team will get more strength in batting with the arrival of Jason Roy. There are already great batsmen like Kane Williamson, David Warner, Johnny Bairstow in Hyderabad.
