IPL 2021- RCB opener batsman Devdutt Padikkal found Covid- 19 positive

Royal Challengers Bangalore released a health update of Devdutt Padikkal ahead of the start of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League.

According to a statement issued by RCB, the Padikkal is currently quarantined in their home.

RCB said that Devdutt Padikkal was found to be Corona positive on 22 March. Since then, there have been quarantined in his house. RCB did not release any update on when the Padikkal would rejoin Team Camp.

RCB have in big trouble

One thing is clear that Devdutt Padikkal will not be able to play the opening match of the tournament for RCB. In order to enter the bio bubble, the coronavirus report of the pedicle must be negative.

Not only this, even after the entry into the bio bubble, the Padikkal will have to remain quarantined for 7 days.

In the tournament, if Padikkal will not play some starting matches, captain Virat Kohli will have to handle the opening with a new side.

Padikkal made his debut last season and scored 473 runs in 15 matches with the help of five half-centuries.

Axar Patel is also Covid positive

Apart from Padikkal, Delhi Capitals star all-rounder Axar Patel also has to stay out of starting IPL matches. Axar Patel also fell infected of the Corona virus a few days ago.

Despite both these players being found to be Corona positive, the IPL will start from the scheduled time. The organizers of the IPL say that they are fully prepared to face the Coronavirus.
