Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed snared three wickets in an over to change the complexion of the game as Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a 6-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

League match-winning performance after Glenn Maxwell’s half-century to help Royal Challengers Bangalore notch up a six-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League at the MA Chidambaram stadium.

RCB managed 149 runs for the loss of eight wickets on the back of Maxwell’s 41-ball 59. Shahbaz changed the match by dismissing Manish Pandey (38), Jonny Bairstow (12), and Abdul Samad (0) in one over. SRH ended at 143 for nine in the stipulated 20 overs. The victory propelled RCB to the top of the table.

Harshal Patel won the first match to RCB, still bowled brilliantly. He took 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4-over quota bowled once again for the T20. The final overdone by Harshal Patel and Hyderabad needed 16 runs. In this over, Patel accidentally slipped the ball and Rashied hit a four. The umpire also called no-ball but Harshal came back here. He took the wicket Shahnawaz Nadeem. After tacking 7 wickets in 2 matches now Harshal got the purple cap.

RCB gained confidence after Warner’s dismissal, their bowlers limiting the boundaries. With the pressure mounting, Bairstow, Pandey, and Samad tried to target Shahbaz but mistimed their shots to return to the pavilion in the 17th over.
