Sunrisers Hyderabad roped in skipper David Warner to unveil the new jersey of the 2016 champions for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

David Warner shared his excitement with his fans and followers on social media. Warner became very popular for posting videos and photos on social media during lockdown last year.

David Warner couldn’t hide this excitement after getting the new Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey delivered to his room. The skipper also revealed he is due to be out of quarantine in seven days.

“I just received my playing kit and I could not wait to put it on. So, I just took it out of the packet and put it straight on. Pumped to get out of here (hotel quarantine) in a couple of days, join the guys ahead of our first game in Chennai,” said Warner.

Australian opener David Warner was doubtfully the star performer for Sunrises Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2020 when the T20 league was moved to the United Arab Emirates due to the ongoing COVID – 19 pandemic. Warner was 548 runs in 16 matches which guided Sunrisers Hyderabad into the playoff last year.

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League will get underway from April 9. Warner’s SRH will kick start their IPL 2021 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)  on April 11 at Chennai. Before the IPL 2021 auction in Chennai, the Sunrisers Hydrabad think tank retained their squad featuring Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Jonny Bairstow, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Manish Pandey. The 2016 champions signed Kedar Jadhav, all-rounder J Suchith and Mujeeb ur Rahman at the IPL 2021 auction.

Last Season – Devid Warner captained SRH to their maiden tournament win in 2016. He was the second-highest run-scorer for them in their title-winning effort with 848 runs.
