The 5th match of IPL 2022 played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. Due to a catch in this match, a big debate broke out on social media. In the match, the third umpire gave a catch out to a player. The controversy over this decision has not ended yet.
KN Ananth Padmanabhan was third-umpiring in this match. Now in this matter the Hyderabad team has lodged an official complaint in front of the IPL Governing Council.

Questions were raised on this decision of third umpire :-
Questions are being raised on social media about the way Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson got out in this match. Chasing runs in the match, the start of Hyderabad was not good. Kane returned to the pavilion after scoring just 2 runs.
In fact, when the famous Krishna bowled the fourth ball of the second over, the ball went straight into the hands of Sanju Samson, taking an edge from Williamson’s bat. Sanju missed the catch, but Padikal, standing in the slips, caught him immediately. In such a situation, the ground umpire sent this decision to the third umpire.
In the first frame, it seemed that the ball touched the ground; but the catch was noticed by the third umpire for some time, after which it was declared out. Hyderabad team was very disappointed with this decision.
IPL 2022: Hyderabad filed complaint :-
After the match was over, Hyderabad team coach Tom Moody had also expressed strong displeasure over this decision of the third umpire. According to the report, the team has lodged a complaint with the IPL Governing Council against this decision. Hyderabad team management told that yes, we have informed the governing council about this.
The process is that the coach has to complain and we have raised our objection against this decision of third umpire KN Ananth Padmanabhan. Now it is for the IPL Governing Council to decide whether the decision of the umpire was correct or not.

Hyderabad lost by 61 runs :-
Rajasthan showed a great game in this match. Batting first, the team scored 210 runs in 20 overs. Sanju Samson played a fireworks innings against Hyderabad. He scored 55 runs in 27 balls. Apart from him, Josh Butler has scored 35 runs in 28 balls.
Devdutt Paddikal scored 41 runs in 29 balls. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 20 runs. In response, Hyderabad’s batting was very poor; the team scored 149 runs for the loss of just 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 61 runs. Washington Sundar scored 40 runs for Hyderabad and Aiden Markram scored 57 runs.
