IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals in big trouble after first match
Delhi Capitals has started IPL 2022 with a bang. The team has already defeated the most successful team of the league in the very first match. Before the start of this season all the teams were facing the problem of injuries to their key players. It also includes the Delhi team. But this problem is going to increase for the team now. Another big match winner of the team can be out of the first half of the season.
This match winner player of Delhi Capitals got injured :-
Delhi Capitals bought Australia’s legendary all-rounder Mitchell Marsh in the mega auction. Marsh is currently part of the Australian team on the Pakistan tour. But Marsh has been injured before the ODI and T20 series against Pakistan. Australian captain Aaron Finch has given information about Mitchell Marsh’s injury.
Aaron Finch said, ‘Mitchell Marsh has a hip injury and seeing the way he is feeling pain, it does not seem that he will play ODI and T20 series against Pakistan.’ If this injury is serious then it may take at least 2 to 3 weeks for them to recover and it will be a big setback for Delhi Capitals.

Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals got a big blow :-
Mitchell Marsh is a very important player of the Delhi franchise. Marsh was bought by Delhi Capitals in the auction for Rs 6.50 crore. Mitchell is a great all-rounder of T20, he has played 21 matches in IPL in which he has scored 225 runs at a strike rate of 114.21 and also took 20 wickets.
Marsh has played 36 T20 matches for Australia in which he has taken 15 wickets and scored 885 runs. In such a situation, not playing Marsh can be very heavy for the Delhi team.

These 4 players from Delhi Capitals are also not playing in the initial matches. This list includes veteran players like Mustafizur Rahman, David Warner, Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje. All these players were not seen playing the opening match. Nortjeis still injured, Ngidi and Mustafizur did not play the first match, while Warner is not available for two matches.

Delhi team’s Anrich Nortje is also battling a hip injury. He has not been able to bowl much since November due to injury. Nortjeis one of the four players retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the auction.
Delhi had attached Nortje with its team by giving 6.50 crores. Nortjehas come to India for IPL 2022, but everyone is waiting for how long he will be fit to play in the team.
