New Delhi, Online Desk. The team of Gujarat Titans can include Afghanistan batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz in place of Jason Rai. For the team, it may not be a perfect replacement for Rai, but the team is also keeping in mind the issue of Wriddiman Saha. Although Saha is the team’s first choice as a wicketkeeper, the team wants to have a backup in case of any untoward incident.
Although the team has a wicketkeeper in the form of Matthew Wade, Cricket Australia has already said that Australian players will not be present in the IPL till 6 April. IPL is starting from 26 March. Gujarat has to play its first match with Lucknow Super Giants on 28 March. The contract letter to include Gurbaz in the team has been sent for the approval of BCCI.
