IPL 2022: Mark Wood of Lucknow Super Giants may be out of IPL, 15th season of IPL is going to start from 26 March. Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants, one of the two new franchises, has suffered a major setback.
Mark Wood Injured:-
Test match is being played between West Indies and England in Antigua. In this match, the main bowler of Lucknow Super Giants, Mark Wood got injured. In such a situation, he can be out of IPL 2022.

He will also not participate in the Caribbean tour. According to UK media reports, Wood will now also pull out of his IPL contract worth Rs 7.5 crore.
Mark Wood LSG Pullout: The first competition of the three-match Test series between the Windies and England is being played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
On the third day of the match, England fast bowler Mark Wood walked off the field due to injury. Wood could not bowl more overs on the third day against West Indies due to an elbow injury.
Wood bowled a total of 17 overs in his bowling spell. In which he got the wicket of host team captain Craig Brathwaite for 45 runs.
IPL 2022, Lucknow Super Giants: It is worth considering that in the last 7 days, two players of England have already withdrawn from the IPL.
Jason Roy (G) and Alex Hales (KKR) both withdrew citing implications for bio-bubble fatigue. But unlike Hales and Roy, Wood is likely to miss out due to a recent injury.
A spokesman for the Caribbean team endorsed that he experienced “severe pain” in his right elbow during a Nets session on the final morning of the first Test in Antigua. He is also likely to pull out of the Caribbean tour.
England’s fastest bowler, Wood, had played no part in the match on the third morning after bowling five compromised overs, falling short of his regular 90 mph pace.
According to a spokesman for the England cricket team in the Caribbean, Wood attempted to bowl about six balls. Into the nets before the start of the fifth day’s play. But he was suffering from severe pain in his elbow.

The first match of Lucknow Super Giants will be against Gujarat Titans on 28 March. In the league stage, the Lucknow team will play two matches each against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, and Punjab Kings will play one match each.
