More Than 1100 Policemen Deployed:-

A senior official said on Saturday that more than 1100 policemen, including the traffic police, will be deployed for the matches in Mumbai.

This year all the league matches of IPL are being held in Mumbai and Pune. Ten participating teams have stayed in hotels in different parts of the city.

The police officer said that there is a great distance between the team hotels and the stadium, so Mumbai Police is taking great care keeping in view the safety of the players and the timing of the match.

A Police Escort will be Given To Each Team:-

He said – Police escort will be given to every team in the Green Corridor as some matches are held at a time when traffic is at its peak. Construction work is also going on at many places in Mumbai.

DY Patil Stadium in South Mumbai and Navi Mumbai has a distance of 35 kilometers. In view of this, Mumbai Police and Navi Mumbai Police will work together so that the players are not inconvenienced.

Special measures have been taken to avoid traffic jams during matches at Wankhede and Brabourne stadiums as Marine Drive and Churchgate stations are nearby.

The Hotels are in South Mumbai:-

Chennai Super Kings team is staying at Trident Hotel and Delhi Capitals at Taj Palace. Both the hotels are in South Mumbai. Gujarat Titans have stayed at JW Marriott and KKR at ITC Grand in Parel.

The Lucknow team has stayed at the Taj Vivanta in Navi Mumbai and the Mumbai Indians at the Trident at Bandra Kurla Complex.
