Abhishek Tripathi, Bangalore. Mr IPL Suresh Raina and former head coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri will be seen in a new avatar in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Raina, who was a part of IPL from the first season till 2021, was not taken by any team in the auction this time. Due to this, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants were also heavily criticized in the internet media as Raina played only for CSK and Gujarat Lions in IPL.

He also captained Gujarat Lions for two years when CSK was suspended. After that he again joined CSK. At the same time, the fans hoped that due to being from Uttar Pradesh, the new IPL team Lucknow would join them but this team also did not take them. However, he will not be seen as a player in the world’s biggest league this year, but as a commentator on broadcaster Star Sports. At the same time, Ravi Shastri will also be seen doing commentary in Hindi for the first time in IPL after leaving the post of coach of Team India.

Disney Star’s head (sports) Sanjog Gupta said in a conversation with Dainik Jagran. That you all know that Raina will not play in IPL this time. But we wanted to connect him in some way or the other. He is called Mr IPL. And was once the highest run scorer in IPL. He has millions of fans. At the same time, Shastri used to do commentary in English for our Star Sports earlier. He didn’t do commentary for us after the 2017 Champions Trophy final. He joined the Indian team as the head coach.

Shastri’s Mumbai language is more in Hindi

The special thing is that this time he will do commentary not in English but in Hindi. Sanjog told that Shastri’s Hindi sentiment is more. And because of this he is also taking Hindi classes from our teacher on Zoom. Some notes are also being sent to them. Some commentary rehearsals have also been done. Overall, we want that the spirit that he has should be maintained. Along with this he should also speak good Hindi which will be enjoyed by the audience.

Sunny-Ravi pair not decided: When Sanjog was asked whether Sunil Gavaskar. And Ravi Shastri would once again be seen doing commentary together, he said that it is not decided yet. Gavaskar will also be in Hindi commentary but a team will be in the bio-bubble. The same commentators will go on the field while the other team of commentators will stay in our studio. Now it has to be seen whether the pair of these two can come together or not.
