IPL 2023 Auction: Officials of Indian Premier League franchises will reach Kochi on Wednesday ahead of the auction. Also, the franchise meet and mock auction of 10 teams will be held on Thursday. The D-day is schedule for 23 December (Friday) in Kochi. The officials of the IPL franchises are also gearing up to get their auction strategy right. The franchises have already retained 163 players from their existing squads.

BCCI has booked two floors of the Grand Hyatt at Bolgatty Island in Kochi for the IPL auction 2023. The mini-auction will be of 7 hours with a break of one hour in between on December 23.

Another set of meetings on December 22
The franchises will hold a meeting with the IPL Governing Council members on December 21 ahead of the auction day. On this day the franchises will get some clarity on the availability of players. There will be another set of meetings on December 22 with the broadcasters for the mock auction.

IPL will have two broadcasters for the first time
IPL will have two broadcasters for the first time. JioCinema will have the live streaming of IPL 2023 while Star Sports Network will telecast the IPL auction live. As a result, the course of events may have been different. The team owner and some helpers will reach Kochi on December 20-21.
