The England Test captain had injured his toe and missed three matches for CSK. But he recovered in time.

But he still has a knee injury which will take time to heal. After Stokes is fit, he can be seen playing in the match (IPL 2023) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (CSK vs SRH) on Friday.

A CSK official told Sport, “Ben is doing fine. He has returned to practice and is fully fit.

It is available for selection. As far as the knee injury is concerned, at the moment it is more like injury management.

Ben Stokes will be necessary for the team

The return of Ben Stokes is important as the CSK team needs to win the upcoming matches.

At the same time, the Chennai team is currently struggling with the injuries of the players. At present, five players are recovering from injuries.

While Mathisha Pathirana took 2 wickets while making an excellent comeback in the match against RCB.

On the other hand, if the situation worsens for Dhoni, then Conway will be the keeper in his place while Dhoni can be seen as an impact player. But who will be the captain is the real question.
