IPL 2023: Former Indian player Wasim Jaffer has been appointed as the batting coach of the IPL franchise Punjab Kings.

Punjab Kings appointed Wasim as their batting coach:-

After which former England captain Michael Vaughan took a dig at Jaffer becoming the coach. On Wednesday, Punjab Kings appointed Wasim as their batting coach for next year’s IPL 2023.

The former Indian cricketer will make a comeback with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise after an absence of one year. Michael Vaughan has made a sarcastic comment about Jafar.

Shikhar Dhawan was made the captain:-

In Trevor Bayliss, Charles Langeveldt and Brad Haddin are there, while Mayank Agarwal was removed as captain, and Shikhar Dhawan has been made captain in his place.

Agarwal was released after the team management saw Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow as their first-choice partnership. The Karnataka opener was retained ahead of last season for Rs 14 crore.

And the Punjab Kings could very well look to scale back their investment and focus on other areas of the team.
