Rajasthan Royals “Runner up in IPL 2022“
Even though Rajasthan lost by 7 wickets to Gujarat. But reaching the final after 14 years was also a big achievement for Rajasthan. RR were making their first IPL final appearance since lifting the trophy that year (2008). Rajasthan lost momentum in the middle stage with defeats to Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Delhi Capitals After making a dominant start in the Leauge stage. Rajsthan finished second in the league stage points table. Here is the list of RAJASTHAN ROYALS RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.
The IPL title continues to remain elusive for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They entered the 2022 season with perhaps one of the most balanced sides in the tournament. Even though Virat Kohli was out of form ahead of the tournament, they were one of the favorites heading into the IPL 2022 playoffs. R.C.B. performed well this year and finished the tournament in third place. Here is the list of Royal Challengers Bangalore RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.
It was a great season for LSG despite the Eliminator. They went on to win games comprehensively, losing games by very close margins. It was full of positivity. They found a star in Mohsin Khan who could execute accurate slower balls. Furthermore, Avesh Khan and Deepak Hooda proved that they are here to stay, while KL Rahul confirmed his ability to play destructive cricket in an orthodox manner. Ayush Badoni started well but then could not sustain it as he was batting too low; On many occasions, he had only 12 to 13 balls left to make the mark. Lucknow Super Giants finished their journey in IPL 2022 at the fourth position. Here is the list of Lucknow Super Giants RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.

Delhi Capitals “5th in IPL 2022”
After summing up DC’s campaign, it should not be forgotten that the mid-season was struck by COVID-19 not once but twice. Nevertheless, this cannot be an excuse as the teams are now prepared for such a contingency in the post-Covid world. Furthermore, the season would be a stark reminder of the poor on-field conduct by DC. Coach Ricky Ponting could have easily been accused of threatening the match officials in the match against KKR.
Pant and Amre were punished for their poor behavior against RR. On a positive note, the season will also be remembered for the return of David Warner and Kuldeep Yadav. Also, Shardul Thakur and Khaleel Ahmed punch above their weight. Axar Patel showed he can be produced as one of the cleanest hitters of the ball, but his spin is very one-dimensional. Players like Prithvi Shaw and Saraj Khan once again failed to confirm their match-winning abilities. Like DC, they are also a work in progress. Here is the list of Delhi Capitals RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.

Punjab Kings “6th in IPL 2022”
Punjab Kings have played an aggressive brand of cricket with the bat this season which hasn’t worked for them on a regular basis. They won some high-octane clashes but in the end, fell short to reach the playoffs. The bowlers did their job quite well as young pacer Arshdeep Singh was the standout performer as skipper Mayank often praised him for standing up and taking the responsibility of bowling difficult overs. He found a very skillful and experienced partner in Kagiso Rabada, who had another good season with 23 wickets. Spinners also contributed well to the team.
However, the batting department failed to help the bowlers on many occasions. Star players including Mayank and Jonny Bairstow were very inconsistent throughout the season which put pressure on others. Overall this season the process of rejuvenation was started in Punjab and is yet to be completed. Punjab finished 5th in the points table. Here is the list of Punjab Kings RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.
Despite the poor season, there were some positives for KKR as well. First up, Umesh Yadav has got his mojo back. In the first few matches, he took wickets in his very first ball. He bowled at a brisk pace which is good news for the Indian selectors. Andre Russell also proved his worth after poor seasons in 2020 and 2021. The emergence of young Rinku Singh augurs well for Indian cricket. However, team composition and poor leadership saw them lose five games in a row. It was from here that the defeat of the season took place. With the departure of McCullum, who is set to join England as Test coach, KKR will have one right in the form of Abhishek Nayar. This augurs well for him in the coming season. Here is the list of Kolkata Night Riders RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.

A season with a lot of promise but one that would ultimately prove to be a failure. His auction strategy also came under the scanner. Disappointment. They failed to close tight games and were only good in patches. But they have given debuts to a number of uncapped players who have shown promise. Two days before the start of the season, CSK announced that Ravindra Jadeja would succeed MS Dhoni as captain, a move seen as keeping the future in mind. How Jadeja could manage two wins from eight attempts before the captaincy passed back to Dhoni – willingly or otherwise is anyone’s guess. But it didn’t dramatically change his season. CSK managed to win just two of their remaining six fixtures under Dhoni, resulting in a second bottom-two finish in three seasons and leaving us with the big question: is his aura waning? Or are they dealing with the challenges a team in transition faces? Here is the list of Chennai Super Kings RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.

With the kind of team they had, their season was doomed from the start. Their bowling attack was weak, with the batting relying heavily on Suryakumar and the young Tilak and putting them under undue pressure. Surya had to constantly modify his game to suit his needs and thus suppress his natural instincts. A nice and really disappointing season. they finished last. Here is the list of Mumbai Indians RETAINED/RELEASED PLAYERS of IPL 2023.
