IPL 2023: Rohit Sharma said this in praise of Akash Madhwal. In the Eliminator match of IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Supergiants by 81 runs.
In this match, young fast bowler Akash Madhwal bowled amazingly for Rohit Sharmaβs team. He gave only 5 runs in 3.3 overs and broke the back of Lucknow by taking 5 wickets.
After the match, Rohit Sharma is very impressed with this young player. Rohit has also praised Akash Madhwal fiercely.

Rohit Sharma said on the big win of the match by 81 runs that βthis is what we have done over the yearsβ. Rohit praised Akash Madhwalβs bowling.
He said that he (Akash) was part of the team last year as a support bowler. Once Jofra was gone and I knew he had the skill and character to do the job for us.
Over the years, we have seen many people coming from Mumbai Indians and playing for India.
Important to make young players feel special:-
Rohit was happy with the performance of the young players of the team. He said that it is important to make them (youth) feel special.
Make them feel part of the team. My job is just to make them comfortable in the middle. They are very clear about their roles, what they have to do for the team and that is what you want.
