Josh Hazlewood was a victim of injury for a long time. He was dropped during the Test series against India without playing a single match and after that he was not selected for the ODI series as well. Hazlewood should focus on preparing for the Ashes at this time – Michael Clarke :-

However, Michael Clarke is not happy that Hazlewood is playing in the IPL instead of preparing for the Ashes. “I don’t know why Josh Hazlewood is playing in the IPL? I don’t know why he isn’t staying here in Australia and preparing for Test cricket,” he said, according to a Fox Sports report.

I know he will be out there bowling a lot in the nets in the IPL to get ready for Test cricket. But I don’t know that bowling three or four overs at the moment would be better preparation for the Ashes. He has been out of action for a long time due to injury.”
