Sunrisers Hyderabad is on a downward spiral when it comes to captaincy. SRH parted ways with David Warner at a time when he was in the middle of something or the other. Now, they have released Kane Williamson. An SRH source told InsideSport that the franchise is still exploring a few more options before confirming Aiden Markram as their new captain.

“The time has come to take a decision on the captaincy. I think that’s what the fans want to hear. But it is a big responsibility. Eden is capable of leading a team although he is not at an international level. He is also our face in the SA20 league. But we will take a call soon after consulting with the coaching staff,” an SRH insider told InsideSport.

For Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni will continue

For Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni will continue for one more season. Though IPL 2023 will be Dhoni’s last, CSK is still mulling over the options. InsideSport understands that CSK will not be considering Ravindra Jadeja again for the captaincy role. Instead, Dhoni will choose a successor at the end of the season.
