IPL 2024: After Mumbai’s Defeat, Irfan Pathan Made Captain Hardik A Villain. Mumbai just lost a nail-biter to Sunrisers Hyderabad, and fingers are being pointed at Hardik Pandya’s leadership and performance. Now, even former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan’s taken a jab at Hardik for his slow batting.
Pathan tweeted, “Imagine your whole team blasting sixes at a 200 strike rate, then the captain crawls out with a measly 120. Not gonna work, bro!” Now, Pathan didn’t exactly name names, but everyone knows who he’s talking about.

Mumbai needed 278 runs to win. Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan went ballistic, but then came Hardik, taking 20 balls for just 24 runs before getting out. ♂️
Here’s the kicker: everyone else in the batting order went HAM! Kishan smashed 34 runs in 13 balls, Rohit scored 26 in 12, Naman Dheer blasted 30 in 14, Tilak Varma rocked a 64 in 34, and Tim David even added 42 in 22 at the end.
