IPL 2024 Auction: The IPL 2024 auction date announced, players will be bid on December 19 in Dubai. Big news has come regarding the IPL 2024 auction. This time the IPL auction will be held in Dubai on 19th December.

This Will Be The First Time The Auction is Being Held Abroad:-

At the same time, the last date for retaining and trading players has been kept till 26th November. This will be the first time in the history of IPL (IPL 2024) that the auction is being held abroad.

All 10 Teams Will Have A Purse Of Rs 100 Crore:-

IPL teams will have time till November 29 to hand over the list of retained and released players. All 10 IPL teams will have a purse of Rs 100 crore, which is Rs 5 crore more than the last season.

Even before this big announcement, Mumbai Indians bought West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants. Last season Shepherd played only one match for Lucknow.

This deal has been done for Rs 50 lakh. This time many foreign players can participate in the auction. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has also expressed his desire to play in the IPL.

Now This Date Has Been Extended:-

Recently, BCCI had asked all the teams to submit the list of their retained players by November 15. But, now this date has been extended. According to the latest news, now it has been extended to 26th November.

If there was an older deadline, broadcaster Star Sports would have had to release the retention list of IPL 2024 during the semi-final match of the World Cup, due to which the number of viewers would have also been divided.
