2 Crore Base Price in IPL 2024 Auction: Players are to be auctioned before the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL-2024). Mini-auction will be held in Dubai on 19th December. A total of 1166 players have registered for the auction. Two Indian players kept their base price at Rs 2 crore, whose career is almost over. The names of these players are- Kedar Jadhav and Umesh Yadav.

Australia’s World Cup-winning players who kept the base price at Rs 2 crore, including Australian captain Pat Cummins, Travis Head, and fast bowler Mitchell Starc have put their names up for the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction to be held in Dubai on December 19. The ‘base price’ has been kept in the highest bracket of Rs 2 crore. A list of 1166 players has been sent to the franchise who have registered for this auction. Including all the teams, successful bids can be made on 77 players in this ‘mini’ auction, out of which 30 will be foreign players.
In this bracket of Rs 2 crore, along with pacers Harshal Patel and Umesh Yadav who were out of the Indian team, there is also batsman Kedar Jadhav. 38-year-old Kedar played his last international match in 2020. After he never got a chance in Team India. At the same time, pacer Umesh Yadav has been kept out of the upcoming series against South Africa. In such a situation, it is believed that his career is almost over. Anyway, Umesh is seen playing only in the Test format.

Franchise teams can spend Rs 262.95 crore in this auction. The base price of New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra, who surprised everyone with his batting during the ODI World Cup, is Rs 50 lakh, but there is a possibility of a big bid for him. Josh Inglis, who scored his first century in T20 International against India, former Australian captain Steve Smith, and pacer Josh Hazlewood are also in the bracket of Rs 2 crore. South Africa’s new fast bowling sensation Gerald Coetzee and dangerous batsman Rassie van der Dussen are also in the Rs 2 crore bracket. Wanindu Hasaranga, one of the world’s top wrist spinners, is in the Rs 1.5 crore bracket. He has been released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
