Gujarat Titans’ left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson has stated that David Miller, who has been out for the past two matches, might also miss the team’s next match against the Rajasthan Royals. Miller, who plays the role of a finisher in the Titans’ lineup, was absent from the previous two matches, which the team lost.
Gujarat Titans’ Performance
The Gujarat Titans, champions in 2022 and runners-up last season, have suffered two consecutive defeats in their last two matches – against the Punjab Kings by three wickets and against the Lucknow Super Giants by 33 runs. The team has clearly missed Miller’s aggressive batting during these matches.
Johnson’s Opinion On Gujarat’s Performance
“Davey (David Miller), I think he’s not far away from returning. If he doesn’t play in this match, he will be available for the next match,” Johnson said in a press conference before the match against Rajasthan.
Johnson believes that Gujarat’s win-loss record maybe 2-3 right now, but if they hadn’t lost some close matches, it could have been 4-1. He said, “The performance in the last few matches has been disappointing, but we have shown how good our team is in the last few years.”
