IPL 2024: IPL 2024 Hit With A Twist: Will Mustafizur Rahman Miss Matches For CSK? There’s a new wrinkle in IPL 2024, and it’s got everyone a bit worried.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) just announced a five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe starting on May 3rd. This is causing some serious concern for Indian cricket fans, especially those who love watching Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) star bowler Mustafizur Rahman.
The clash is a worry because the series falls smack dab in the middle of IPL 2024. This means Mustafizur Rahman might have to leave the IPL mid-season to join the Bangladesh cricket team.

This could be a huge blow for CSK, who are already missing their key bowler Matheesha Pathirana due to injury for the initial matches. Mustafizur Rahman, bought by CSK for ₹2.4 crore, was a crucial replacement option for Pathirana.
It’ll be interesting to see how CSK handles Mustafizur Rahman’s absence. Will they still manage to reach the playoffs, or will this be a consequence of the BCB’s scheduling decision?
