IPL Player Auction Registration Last Date Today (30 November)

IPL 2024: Thursday (November 30) is the last day for players to register for the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. Players are required to submit their names along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) through their respective boards. The auction is to be held on December 19.

IPL 2024: More than 700 players expected to register

As per the Cricbuzz report – With over 700 players expected to register for the auction this time, some prominent names are expected to be on the list. Notable World Cup performers like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Travis Head, Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, Ibrahim Zadran, and Rahmat Shah are expected to feature in the top draw.

Sources close to Cricket Australia have revealed that at least five franchises have approached the left-handed batsman and he is likely to feature prominently in the marquee list.

BCCI: Total transactions in the auction can be up to Rs 262.95 crore

After registration, the franchisee will be tasked with cutting down the list. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to sell around 70 players in the auction. BCCI has specified that a total of up to Rs 262.95 crore can be transacted in the auction, with 77 slots available across 10 teams. Additionally, teams can acquire a maximum of 30 foreign players.

While Ben Stokes withdrew his name, Hazlewood may be available for the league

While Ben Stokes has already withdrawn. Franchise sources have indicated that they are awaiting confirmation regarding the availability of Jofra Archer. Archer was recently released by Mumbai Indians. There is also speculation that Josh Hazlewood, who was recently released by Royal Challengers Bangalore, could be available for the league.
