IPL RCB 2022: RCB will Announce Its Captain On March 12

IPL RCB 2022: The 15th season of IPL (IPL 2022) will be playing from 26 March. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore is about to announce its captain. Faf du Plessis will be given command of the team.

Maxwell was believing to be the RCB captain:-

With Virat Kohli stepping down as captain after IPL 2021, the position remains vacant. Glenn Maxwell was also considered as a strong contender for the captain, but the franchise has decided to make Faf du Plessis the captain.

The RCB captain’s release will be made on March 12.

It was a tough choice, but not a surprise. RCB will release their captain in the press conference at 4 pm. During this time the team will also launch its jersey.

RCB Captain IPL 2022: Glenn Maxwell will not be available for the first three matches in IPL 2022. The Australian team is on a tour of Pakistan these days.

RCB IPL 2022: RCB will hand over the command of the team to Faf du Plessis. The former South African captain has the experience of leading the team in all three formats including the World Cup.

Opening in Chennai Super Kings, Faf played many match-winning innings.

• Faf is the only option after Virat Kohli to have captaincy experience in international cricket.
• In-form opener Faf du Plessis will be one of the first names on the team sheet.
• He will also be available for the entire duration of IPL 2022 after retiring from international cricket.
• The second option was Glenn Maxwell who was considering earlier but would be unavailable for the first few matches.
• He will be quarantining for five days after the Pakistan tour, so he will be available from March 12.
