According to the Telegraph report, he went to Belgium in the middle of the IPL after consulting his medical team. There he had a minor surgery.

There was pain in his joints, which required an operation. Archer has returned to India, he played the match on 20 April. However, Archer did not even play in the match against Gujarat Titans on 25 April.
