Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrior were found Covid positive
The match number 30th between Kolkata Knight and Royal Challengers Bangalore of the 14th season of IPL has been postponed. Now, this match will be played later.
The impact of the Covid-19 on the Indian Premier League has been seen. Many players of Kolkata Knight Riders have fallen ill. The players and staff have since gone into isolation. After all, questions have also been raised on the IPL’s secure bio-bubble. Not only this, the security of the teams which have played against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last few days is also now under suspicion.
Varun Chakravarthy recently walked out of the IPL bio-bubble. He went to get his shoulder scan done and then perhaps he was hit by the virus. Apart from Sandeep Warrior and Varun Chakravarthy, the test of the remaining players of Kolkata Knight Riders has come negative.
According to reports, Australia pacer Pat Cummins is included in the list of players whose health is not good. After this, Kolkata’s match today has been postponed.
Two Kolkata Knight Riders players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier have become positive. A BCCI official has been quoted by the news agency ANI as saying that cases have come up in KKR’s camp and the Bangalore team does not want to play a match against them.
The official said, “Varun and Sandeep have been found positive and in such a situation the Bangalore team does not want to play the match.”
KKR played their last match against Delhi Capitals on April 29 in Ahmedabad. And after this news came out, concerns have increased in this yet-to-be-run tournament.
