Kohli said after the match, “To be honest, we gifted him the match. We deserved to lose and didn’t show a professional enough game, bowled well but the fielding was not up to standard. We gave them a free gift.”

Kohli said, “We missed two chances in the field which cost us 25 to 30 runs. We were in a good position with the bat but then we lost 4-5 wickets easily. They were not wicket-taking balls but we hit shots straight into the hands of the fielders. Chasing down the target even after losing wickets, a partnership got us back in the match. We couldn’t have put together another good partnership.”
