Liton Das returns home: Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das has returned home due to a family emergency and will be unavailable for the upcoming matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

There is a medical emergency in the family

A KKR team official said, “There was a medical emergency in his family due to which he left for Dhaka this morning. There is no information about when he will return.

The 28-year-old wicket-keeper batsman was bought by KKR in the auction last year for his base price of Rs 50 lakh. He played only one match in IPL against Delhi Capitals.

Opening the innings with Jason Roy, Das scored only four runs in that match and missed two stumpings as wicket-keeper. Delhi won this match by four wickets and broke the streak of losing in five consecutive matches.
