While everyone thought it was just for fun, turns out the Southpaw wore pads on as a punishment because he was late for the batters meeting. Wadhera regrets being late for the crucial meeting ahead of MI’s match against LSG and as a punishment walked with batting pads at Mumbai airport before catching a flight to Lucknow.

One of the users commented, “Kya mast punishment hai.” Another one commented by saying, “Pity Nehal Wadhera.” While one of the users saw the funny side of the picture and said, “Next time, if Wadhera is late for the meeting, MI should ask him to lift skipper Rohit Sharma.” All in all, the Netzines loved the unique punishment imposed by MI.

Meanwhile, speaking about Wadhera, the southpaw is in phenomenal form and has filled the void left by Tilak Varma seamlessly. Wadhera has grabbed his chances well and has scored two fifties in four matches. The southpaw has looked calm and composed and has complimented Suryakumar Yadav well in the middle order. MI has managed to bounce back well by winning three games on the bounce.
