Then when the bid reached Rs 3 crore, CSK withdrew its hands. Delhi also moved away from here. Then RCB and Gujarat Titans entered the bid. There was a clash between the two and this war went to the end.

There was a short break during this bid and during that time the franchises started talking among themselves and the bidding stopped at Rs 6.40 crore.

After this, when RCB had to bid, Mallika Sagar had to bid Rs 6.60 crore. But when he made the next bid after the break, he bid Rs 6.80 crore. After this, the bidding continued and finally, RCB bought him for Rs 11.50 crore.

RCB Suffered A Loss Of Rs 20 Lakh Due To Sagar’s Mistake:-

Due to this mistake of Mallika Sagar, RCB suffered a loss of Rs 20 lakh. Because there she had to bid Rs 6 crore 60 lakhs but she bid only Rs 6.80 lakhs.

Mallika Sagar had created history by entering the IPL 2024 auction. He replaces Hugh Edmeades who had been part of the process for a long time.

This was the first time in the last 16-17 years that a woman auctioneer was bidding in the auction.
