De Kock feels LSG has a perfectly balanced squad with a high chance of making the playoffs. He even thinks South Africa has a good shot at winning the upcoming T20 World Cup!

Q: How’s your experience been with LSG so far?
De Kock: The last two seasons were awesome. We’ve just played one match this year, so I’m still chilling a bit. The more I play, the quicker I’ll find my rhythm. Being part of a good franchise definitely helps you improve your game.
Q: LSG looks like a well-rounded team. How confident are you about reaching the playoffs?
De Kock: We’ve made the playoffs the past two years, and this time the chances are even higher. Hopefully, we can go a step further and win the IPL trophy this time!
Q: Any areas where LSG needs to improve compared to last season?
De Kock: Honestly, I don’t see anything right now. The team is looking good!
Q: What are your thoughts on South Africa’s chances in the T20 World Cup?
De Kock: I think South Africa has a strong chance of winning the T20 World Cup. We’ve performed well in the past few World Cups, but unfortunately, haven’t been able to finish on top. Having so many South African players in the IPL is great preparation for the World Cup. This year’s tournament being in the T20 format will give our boys good practice on these pitches.
Q: Do you think the anchor role for batsmen is still important in T20s?
De Kock: Absolutely! Having someone who can come in and score quick runs at the end for your team is crucial in this format.
