RCB captain Faf du Plessis spoke openly on every department after losing the match, Punjab Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in their must-win match.

In this match, Bangalore could not chase the target of 210 given by Punjab. And lost this match by 54 runs. After this defeat, Captain Faf spoke openly in every department.

Talking about the score chase in the post-match, Faf said:-

‘It was a good score. Obviously, the way Johnny started the innings there, he put some pressure on our bowlers. I thought we pulled the score back and 200 was probably a chaseable score on that wicket.

This pitch was probably the best we have played this season. When you are chasing big scores like this, it is important that you do not lose wickets continuously. And this is where we made a mistake.

Captain Faf also talked about Virat Kohli’s form. Virat got the start in this match. But then he got out after scoring 20 runs in 14 balls. Talking on Virat’s form, Faf said,

‘He is seeing a positive side in this. Obviously, you feel bad when you get out in almost every way possible. But the game works like this. Sometimes when you are under a little pressure, the game finds ways to keep you under pressure.

You can really only make sure that you keep working hard, have good intensity, good attitude. And stay positive.

Knowing that the run is just about to come. He played some really good shots tonight. Obviously, you want to see him score well.

But I think he is handling it very well. Difficult times are troublesome for all of us. But Kohli believes that his form is just close.

With this, Captain Faf also talked about the last match of RCB. Counting the shortcomings of the first team, he said.

“There are one or two areas where we were not good tonight and it showed in batting, bowling, and fielding. So today’s match was difficult for us. So for me, take a day off.

And also make sure that we put all our energy into the match that we are going to play. Not what has passed in that match.

Another net session will no longer make you a better player. We have done many net sessions. Have played many matches. It was a long IPL.

For me, it is just that you should be strong in mind. Have faith in yourself and also in the team. If we play to our full potential, we are a very good team. But tonight we didn’t do that.
