RCB vs RR: Virat Kohli in danger of being banned, one more mistake and the game is over
Virat Kohli banned: Virat Kohli has been leading Royal Challengers Bangalore for the last two matches due to Faf Du Plesis not being fully fit. The special thing is that the performance of RCB under the leadership of Kohli in both the matches has been unmatched and the team has tasted victory in both the matches. Bangalore’s performance under Virat’s captaincy against Rajasthan was top class, but in the joy of victory, Kohli made a big mistake on the field.
Virat Kohli was fined for this reason: –
Actually, due to slow over rate in the match played against Rajasthan, Kohli has been fined 24 lakhs. Not only Virat, but all the players of the team have been fined 6 lakhs. This is the second time in IPL 2023, when RCB team has been fined due to slow over rate. Faf Du Plesis was captaining the team in the first match and he was fined 12 lakhs.
Ban threat looms over Kohli: –
Due to the slow over rate twice in IPL 2023, now the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore has been fined. If the bowlers of the team repeat the same mistake after the third time; then along with a fine of 30 lakhs, the captain of the team will also be banned for one match. That means, now the threat of ban is also looming over Virat Kohli. Kohli had told at the time of the toss in the match against Rajasthan that he would be seen captaining RCB in the coming few matches.
