England’s Jos Buttler Ruled Out Of The Hundred Due To Calf Injury, and will not participate in The Hundred because of a calf injury last Thursday (18 August) against the Southern Braves.

Captain Butler will no longer participate in The Hundred:-

According to local media sources, Buttler, the captain of the competition for Manchester Originals, will no longer participate in The Hundred.

According to a report on the Sky Sports website, Laurie Evans will now lead the team for the duration of the season starting with Sunday’s game against Birmingham Phoenix.

Butler is currently battling for fitness in time for England’s upcoming white-ball series against Pakistan, which begins in a month.

England will tour Pakistan for the first time in 17 years and play seven Twenty20 Internationals in September and October.

West Indies fast bowler Andre Russell will also stop competing in The Hundred. Russell is back home to compete in the Caribbean Premier League.

Several other England white-ball players including Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, Tymal Mills, Mark Wood, and Chris Woakes are also out of the hundred due to injury, while Richard Gleason has yet to play for the Originals due to various reasons.
