RR vs DC: Butler-Padikkal broke 13-year-old record in IPL 2022, the first pair who achieved this feat

RR vs DC: The 34th match of IPL 2022 was played between the first champions of IPL history, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. Many records were made in this match and high voltage drama was also seen.

The hero of the match was Rajasthan batsman Jos Buttler, who scored his third century in season 15. Devdutt Padikkal, who came to open the innings with Butler, also scored a brilliant half-century. Both these batsmen played a stellar innings and also broke the 13-year-old record.

Butler-Padikkal made the biggest opening partnership for RR :-

In this match against Delhi, Rajasthan got off to a great start by batting first. Both the batsmen added 155 runs in 91 balls for the first wicket, with this Butler-Padikkal broke a 13-year-old record.

These two batsmen have now become the biggest partnership for the first wicket for Rajasthan Royals. Butler-Padikkal broke the record of Graeme Smith and Naman Ojha. Both these batsmen had a partnership of 135 runs against Punjab 13 years ago in 2009.

RR vs DC: Butler scored a smashing century :-

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler is performing well this season. After scoring 103 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders and 100 against Mumbai Indians in this season, he also scored 116 runs in 65 balls against Delhi Capitals.

Buttler hit 9 fours and 9 sixes during this. Apart from Butler, Devdutt Padikkal made a lot of noise with the bat in this match. Padikkal played an innings of 54 runs in 35 balls. He hit 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Rajasthan Royals sitting on top of the points table :-

Rajasthan Royals is leading in IPL 2022. In the match played against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan have won the first place in the points table with 10 points.

Batting first, Rajasthan scored 222 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 2 wickets. Chasing the target of 223 runs, the team of Delhi Capitals could only manage 207 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets and lost the match by 15 runs. This was Delhi’s fourth defeat in this season.
