IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounders Andre Russell and Sunil Narine reached Mumbai on Tuesday to join the team’s training camp
Both the players have started their quarantine period of seven days after reaching Mumbai. Two-time IPL champion KKR said in a statement on Tuesday that both these players have reached Mumbai via the US.
Narine said, “When you think of the IPL too, you think of India. It is fantastic to be back here again. Hopefully, we will do better than last season.”
Russell said, “We are close to you. Whether you watch from home or from the stadium. You will always support Purple and Gold. Now we are moving to Quarantine and we know we will be in the bubble. We too. The bio is built into the bubble and so we are mentally prepared for it. “
Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, assistant coach Abhishek Nair, fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti and batsman Rahul Tripathi arrived at the hotel on Saturday before starting the quarantine for the two-time winner Kolkata.
According to the BCCI directives, all the players, support staff, and team management have to stay in the hotel for seven days in quarantine.
