Punjab Kings head coach Anil Kumble has praised Tamil Nadu cricketer Shah Rukh Khan. He has compared this young batsman to the West Indies all-rounder Kieran Pollard.
Pollard plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He is counted among the worldβs strongest batsman. Kumble believes that Shah Rukh has the same skills as Pollard.
Punjab Kings has posted a video. In this Kumble said, Shahrukh reminds me a bit of Pollard. When I was with Mumbai Indians, Pollard was quite dangerous in the nets. I used to bowl him a little bit in the nets and the first thing I told him was not to hit a straight shot. β
Shahrukh Khan is an uncapped player. Among them, the Punjab Kings buy him the mini-auction in February. His base price was Rs 20 lakh and he was bought for a huge amount of Rs 5.25 crore.
Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings all bid for him, but the bet finalized by Punjab Kings.
Shah Rukh had a great performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was played an important role in making Tamil Nadu the champion for the second time.
