The ACC Premier Cup in Nepal as final step in qualification for Asia Cup 2023. The 10 teams have been divided into two groups for the tournament starting on April 18.

The Premier Cup will pit 10 of the region’s best-emerging teams in 50-over action in Nepal as the final leg in qualification for the Asia Cup 2023.

And the semi-finals will be contested in Kathmandu, followed by the final which will decide the last remaining qualification spot in the Asia Cup 2023.
The qualifying teams will take on India and Pakistan in group action at the Asia Cup, guaranteeing two high-profile matches later this year.
The Premier Cup features three teams – Nepal, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates – which will also have an eye on fine-tuning for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier to be played in Zimbabwe from June 18.
A Resurgence in Group B will be challenged by Hong Kong:-
The United Arab Emirates will be challenged in Group B by a resurgent Hong Kong, a side that looks strong in the batting side and has done well in ACC events.
With left-armer Anshi Rath looking in form following his return to the Nizakat Khan-led national team. Babar Hayat has been able to hold things together and increase the run rate if required.
Nizakat’s team was too good for Kuwait in the recent series in Hong Kong, a team that has beaten group rivals Singapore and the United Arab Emirates in the T20I format.
Kuwait beat Bahrain in warm-up action, albeit by one wicket. And should challenge Singapore for at least third place in their group.

Now led by Aritra Dutta, Singapore are not only without T20 maverick Tim David (who now represents Australia). But are also missing Amjad Mahbub and Aryaman Sunil.
Matches between teams with ODI status will be treated as full Day Internationals. With the Tribhuvan University Ground sharing hosting rights with the Mulpani Ground on the other side of Nepal’s capital.
The finalists and the winner of the third-place play-off in the tournament also qualify for the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
