The BCCI Officials Confirmed, ‘Impact Player’ rule will remain intact for IPL 2024. The Impact Player rule is going to continue in IPL 2024 as well. The BCCI had earlier decided to take a call on the “Super Sub” player after discussions with captains and franchises.

Impact Player Rules Women’s Premier League Season 2:-

In the previous edition, it was limited to the 14th over. There is also a possibility that the Impact Player rule will be included in the second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024).

According to the IPL handbook, a team can replace another player originally nominated in the playing eleven by making an impact player. But the replaced player cannot take part in the match after this.

Additionally, an Impact Player can only be an Indian, unless the team fields less than four foreign players in the squad on the match day.

We Will Decide If All The Members Feel The Need:-

BCCI official said, “As of now, no. There will be no change. Any discussion on the rules or changes to the existing rules will be discussed in the meeting in November. If all the members feel the need then we will take a decision.”

After the Cricket World Cup, the IPL Governing Council will meet to discuss the auction dates for IPL 2024. As mentioned earlier, the franchise has not been officially informed about the event place.

However, it will possibly be held outside India and Dubai will be the preferred venue. The IPL 2024 auction will take place on December 19.
