UP Warriorz: The Lucknow team will be known by this name in WPL 2023. The first edition of the Women’s IPL will be played from March 4.
Lucknow named its team to five franchises:-
There will be an auction (WPL Auction) process on 13th February. Lucknow, which is among the five franchises playing in the tournament, has announced the name of its team (UP Warriors).

The Lucknow franchise of the Women’s IPL announced the names of the members of its coaching staff. The team has appointed Jon Lewis as their head coach.
Jon Lewis is a former cricketer for the England cricket team and the head coach of the England women’s team. He is very experienced. He has appointed Lisa Sthalekar as his mentor.
Sthalekar is a former Australian cricketer of Indian origin. Lisa, 43, was born in Pune, Maharashtra.

Lucknow women’s IPL team
The Lucknow team has been bought by Capri Global Holdings Pvt Ltd for Rs 757 crore. It is the least sold team as comparing to the other four teams.

The auction will start on February 13 at 2.30 pm
22 matches will be playing in the Women’s IPL, all of which will be held at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.
The auction will begin on February 13 at Jio World Convention Center at 2:30 pm. A total of 409 cricketers’ final list has been released for the auction.
