Islamabad United says opener Alex Hales has withdrawn from PSL 2022 due to personal reasons

Star batsman Alex Hales has decided to pull out of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League due to personal reasons, Islamabad United said on Tuesday.

The development comes as a setback to the PSL franchise as the team was heavily dependent on Halex which is playing the best of the best.

“Opening batsman Alex Hales has pulled out of the PSL due to personal reasons. We wish him all the best for his future.” The franchise said in a statement.

A source confirmed to Geo News that the reason for the England cricketer’s exit from the PSL was bubble fatigue.

Hales played 7 matches for Islamabad United this season and scored 255 runs at an average of 42.50, including two half-centuries.
