IPL 2024: Who is Nitish Reddy who ghosts Punjab bowlers? There is a connection with Hardik Pandya. The 17th season of the Indian Premier League is continuously giving new stars to Indian cricket. Now 20-year-old Nitish Reddy has created a stir in the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings match.

Making ghost of Punjab Kings bowlers, Nitish Reddy played a brilliant inning of 64 runs in 37 balls, in which he also hit 4 fours and 5 skyscraper sixes.

Till now in IPL 2024, Punjab’s Harpreet Brar was doing well, but Nitish made his name known to everyone by scoring 22 runs in his over.

Before him, Mayank Yadav and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have also created a stir in the cricket world and now Nitish Reddy’s name is on everyone’s lips.

SRH Bought Him in The Auction For His Base Price Rs 20 Lakh:-

Nitish Reddy was born in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He was bought by SRH in the IPL 2023 auction for his base price i.e. Rs 20 lakh.

He plays for Andhra Pradesh in domestic cricket and started getting recognition in Indian cricket when he started batting at number 3 for Andhra Pradesh in the 2018-2019 Vinoo Mankad Under-19 Tournament.

At the same time, he continued to bat at number 3-4 for the senior Andhra team. Along with this, he also continued to work on bowling, hence he is seen as a batting all-rounder.

One Century And One Half-Century Innings Were Also Included:-

Being a batting all-rounder, Nitish Reddy considers Hardik Pandya and Ben Stokes as his idols. Nitish Reddy, while playing for Andhra Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy 2023-2024, scored 366 runs in 7 matches, which included one century and one half-century.

He was also honored with the Under-16 Jagmohan Dalmiya Award by BCCI for his excellent performance in batting and bowling in the 2017-2018 Vijay Merchant Trophy.

Nitish Reddy has played 8 T20 matches and scored 106 runs in his career so far. On the other hand, if we talk about List-A career, apart from scoring 403 runs in 22 matches, he has also taken 14 wickets. Talking about his first-class career, so far he has 566 runs in 17 matches and has also taken 52 wickets.
