Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir may be seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL)
Former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir’s career has been full of ups and downs. He was banned after a brilliant start at a young age. He again returned but at the age of 29, Mohammad Amir announced his retirement. During this time, he also made many serious allegations against the PCB.
Amir is now looking for a return to cricket through other avenues. Since retirement, Amir has been living in London and if the news is to be believed, he is thinking about taking England citizenship there. If this happens, then he can also be seen in IPL.
He said that retiring from playing for his beloved country is not an easy step. I thought highly of this decision and talked to people close to me and only then did I come to this decision. ”He said that while playing for the country, he was not getting the respect he deserved. Amir’s critics said that he preferred franchise leagues instead of playing for his country.
Mohammad Amir said that he wants to play cricket for the next 6-7 years. He said, ‘I am going to live in England for a long time. I am enjoying cricket here and want to pay more for the next 6-7 years. Let’s see how things progress. He said that my children will grow up in England and will get an education here only. In such a situation, I will stay here for a long time. There is no doubt about it.
Aamir further said,’ My children will study in England and they will grow up, so there is no doubt that I am going to spend a long time here. Right now I have not thought about what opportunities I get in the coming times and what possibilities emerge when I get British citizenship in the future. ‘
Pakistani players are not allowed to play in the IPL, so if Aamir gains British citizenship, then he will be considered qualified to play IPL. On the question of playing IPL, he said that I am not thinking about future plans right now. Once I get citizenship here, things will change. Aamir played 61 ODIs and 50 T20 matches apart from 36 Tests for Pakistan. He has taken 81 wickets in ODIs and 59 wickets in T20s. Aamir last played an international match in 2019
Former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mehmood has been the only player to get a chance to play later. Azhar Mehmood had established himself as an English player and was seen playing for the Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
