WPL Auction 2024: The auction for the second edition of the Tata Women’s Premier League will take place on 9 December 2023, in Mumbai. BCCI has released the list of players included in the auction. A total of 165 cricketers’ names have been included in the auction.

WPL Auction 2024: Names of a total of 165 players included

A total of 165 players have been named for the Women’s Premier League. There are 104 Indian women players in this list and 61 foreign players, out of which 15 players are from associate countries. There are a total of 56 capped players on the list and 109 uncapped players.

Five teams have a maximum of 30 slots available

The five teams have a maximum of 30 slots available, with 9 places available for foreign players. Rs 50 lakh is the highest reserve price, which includes 2 players – Deandra Dottin and Kim Garth. Four players Annabelle Sutherland, Georgia Wareham, Amy Jones, and Shabnim Ismail are on the auction list with a base price of Rs 40 lakh.

The second edition of WPL 2024 will be held between February to March

BCCI started the Women’s Premier League 2023. The first season was played successfully. Now the second edition of WPL will be played in 2024. The second edition of the Women’s Premier League will be played between February and March, although this will be officially confirmed only when the schedule is announced.
