He recalled the early years when MI was making its mark. And how were you making yourself successful with MI?
“I will remember myself as being very flexible in a team environment. I will bat in the middle order and lower middle as well as in the open. That is an area where I am very proud to contribute to the team and I cherish that aspect of my career very much,” Rayudu said on The Ranveer Show.

“I played for them for eight years. I started my IPL career in Mumbai. It was a great journey and we won three IPLs and two Champions League trophies. “We had a great time,” said the Guntur-born cricketer.
Rayudu’s journey took an interesting turn when he joined CSK in 2018. In the yellow jersey, he found a new home and quickly became an integral part of the CSK setup. Rayudu played important innings at the top of the order and formed strong partnerships with players like Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, and Suresh Raina.
The highlight of Rayudu’s IPL career came in the 2018 season when he scored over 600 runs, demonstrating his ability to adapt to different roles within the team. He played important innings, which took CSK to the final, where they emerged victorious.
“Going to CSK was even more special, but it was very strange to sit in another dressing room, wearing yellow pads instead of blue, and facing Mumbai, who were practicing just two wickets away from me. It was like a flashback going on in my mind, remembering what we used to do every day. Since then, yes, I have got used to being at CSK,” Rayudu said.
Talking further about his international career, Rayudu expressed his disappointment over its conclusion and the way he was treated by the team management. Rayudu said that the management considers his calm nature as a lack of confidence.
