Former Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar will now be seen guiding the players of Nepal. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Monday announced the appointment of Manoj Prabhakar as its head coach. This former India all-rounder has a lot of experience in the coaching field. He has also coached different Ranji teams before this.

“Former Indian star all-rounder and Ranji Trophy winning coach Manoj Prabhakar have been appointed as the head coach of the Nepal National Cricket Team. Prabhakar has played 39 Test matches and 130 One Day Internationals for India. As a coach, he has experience of working with Delhi, Rajasthan, and UP Ranji teams as well as Afghanistan cricket team.
Prabhakar represented India in 39 Tests and 130 ODIs during the 1980s and 1990s. He took 96 wickets in Tests and 157 wickets in ODIs while scoring 3458 runs in both formats. After retiring from cricket, Manoj initially took over as the head coach of Rajasthan and then worked as a bowling coach for Delhi. He used to play for Delhi in domestic cricket.
Manoj Prabhakar, 59, worked with the Afghanistan national team as a bowling coach during the 2016 T20 World Cup. He was later appointed as the head coach of Uttar Pradesh. Manoj said that he is associated with Nepal Cricket with some plans after seeing the talent and skills of the players and he is looking forward to working with them. He said that his goal is to make Nepal a cricketing power in the years to come.
