Pretty Close’: Anil Kumble Reacts to Jasprit Bumrah Imitating His Bowling Action:

Jasprit Bumrah was recently seen imitating the bowling action of Anil Kumble in the net session. Kumble’s action was indeed not an easy one but the pacer did a fine job mimicking Jumbo’s style. As a result, the video shared by BCCI didn’t take long in going viral with praises pouring in for Bumrah.

Kumble himself has been left impressed by the pacer’s antics as he found the imitation ‘pretty close.’ The former Indian captain and coach further lauded the right-arm speedster, calling him an inspiration for the budding fast bowlers.

Well done Boom. Pretty close. You are an inspiration to the next generation of young fast bowlers who are imitating your style. Best wishes for the upcoming series,” Kumble reacted to the video posted by BCCI on their official Twitter handle.

A legend of the game, Kumble had announced his retirement from international cricket in 2008. He finished with 619 wickets in the longest format of the game.

He has the third-highest number of wickets (619) in Tests, only behind Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and Australia’s Shane Warne (708).

Bumrah, he was last seen in action in the recently-concluded Test series against Australia. He will next be seen in action in the upcoming four-match Test series against England, beginning on February 5 in Chennai.
