Mandhana joined RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Smriti Mandhana has joined the squad of her new franchise ahead of the start of the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League. RCB’s social media handle shared a clip in which Mandhana’s teammate is being asked about her. Finally, she appears and with a warm smile confirms that she has joined the team.

Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Heather Knight, Sophie Devine, Megan Schutt, and Dane van Niekerk are world-class overseas players in RCB. RCB has added some interesting talent in the form of Renuka Thakur and Richa Ghosh. However, selecting the ideal playing XI may prove difficult for Mandhana. With only four overseas players playing, the question remains which players RCB chooses to go for.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Premier League is all set to start with a bang on March 4. Ahead of the opening ceremony, the BCCI has released an upbeat theme song for the Women’s Premier League season. Bollywood superstars Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani will perform at the opening ceremony. Additionally, AP Dhillon and Shankar Mahadevan will also sing the WPL anthem during the festival.
